At Wollemi Kids Club, we believe childhood is best spent outdoors.

Set amongst the bushland, gardens and farm animals of Wollemi Ridge Retreats, Wollemi Kids Club offers hands-on school holiday experiences designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and connection with the natural world.

Our small-group programs encourage children to explore, create, build and discover through a variety of nature-based activities. From feeding farm animals and building bush shelters to creating fairy cottages and exploring the wonders of giant bubbles, every session is designed to get children off screens and immersed in the outdoors.

What Can You Expect From Wollemi Kids Club?

  • Time Outdoors
    Our programs are designed to get children off screens and into nature. From bush walks and treasure hunts to farm adventures and nature discovery, every session encourages children to explore the world around them.

  • Connecting With Animals
    Children will have the opportunity to meet, feed and care for our friendly goats and chickens while learning about life on a small-scale farm and where food comes from.

  • Hands-On Creativity
    Every session includes a nature-inspired craft or project. Whether it's building a bug hotel, creating a fairy cottage or making a giant bubble wand, children will take home something they've made themselves.

  • Adventure & Discovery
    Children will be encouraged to investigate, build, create and problem-solve through activities designed to inspire confidence, curiosity and resilience.

  • Small Group Experiences
    With limited numbers, children have the opportunity to learn, create and explore in a relaxed and supportive environment.

    No two sessions are the same. From bushcraft and nature treasure hunts to fairy forests and giant bubble spectaculars, each day offers a unique experience.

Who Runs Wollemi Kids Club?

Wollemi Kids Club is led by Sally Dulson, co-founder of Wollemi Ridge Retreats and creator of Sally Bubble Acts. With more than 20 years of experience as a children's entertainer, street theatre performer and creative facilitator, Sally has spent her career creating engaging experiences that inspire curiosity, imagination and connection.

Sally learnt her kids facilitator skills from 7 years working as a Captain Starlight with the Starlight Children's Foundation, bringing joy and laughter to children and families. Through Wollemi Kids Club, she combines her love of nature, creativity and outdoor adventure to help children unplug, explore and create lasting memories in the natural world.

Sally has her working with children check, police check and her first aid certificate.

Wollemi Kids Club is also supported by Chris Barnes, co-founder of Wollemi Ridge Retreats and an experienced outdoor guide with a passion for helping people connect with nature. From leading bush walks and sharing knowledge to guiding our Bushcraft Builders sessions, Chris encourages children to explore, create and build through hands-on outdoor experiences.

With a background in engineering, gardening and outdoor adventure guiding, Chris has a diverse range of experience that he would like to pass on to the next generation. He brings practiciality, creativity and leadership to Wollemi Kids Club.

Chris has his working with children check, police check and her first aid certificate.

Designed for Curious Kids

Wollemi Kids Club is suitable for children aged 4–12 years and is open to both local families and guests staying at Wollemi Ridge Retreats.

Whether your child joins us for a single session or an entire week of adventures, they'll leave with muddy shoes, creative projects and memories they'll be talking about long after the holidays are over.
