Our Bush Retreat invites you to unwind, connect to country, and learn the essentials of sustainable bush living. Exploring the Australian Bush alone can feel daunting, but our guided experiences at Wollemi Ridge offer a gentle introduction to bush life, with opportunities to get creative and embrace nature.

Inclusive and Comfortable Stay

  • Accommodations: Choose between our adventurous outdoor bunk or cozy twin-share cabin tents, each equipped with luxury bedding to ensure a restful stay.

  • Facilities: Enjoy communal bathrooms with a compostable toilet, hot shower, and basin. Relax in our shared lounge, dining, and kitchen areas, surrounded by nature.

We serve wholesome meals crafted from locally sourced produce, featuring a continental bush breakfast, hearty main meals, and morning and afternoon tea. We cater to various dietary needs, including plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, and ethically sourced meat options.

  • Evening Glow Worm Tour: Step into a magical world and witness the enchanting glow of bioluminescent worms under the night sky—a truly unforgettable experience.

  • Night Wildlife Spotting and Stargazing: Venture into the wild after dark to discover the sights and sounds of nocturnal animals, then gaze up at the sparkling constellations for a moment of awe and wonder.

  • Bush Connection Workshop: Reconnect with nature through calming group and solo activities, including forest bathing, that will leave you feeling refreshed and grounded.

  • Bush Craft Workshop: Unleash your creativity and craft your own wooden chopping board to take home as a unique keepsake.

  • Wild Swimming: Dive into cool, refreshing waters on a warm summer day, and feel completely invigorated by the beauty of nature around you.

  • Harvest Farm Tour: Learn about organic farming during a hands-on tour, harvest fresh produce, and savor the joy of preparing your own farm-fresh lunch.

  • Native Flower Tour: Wander through vibrant native flower fields, discover the beauty of local flora, and create your own stunning bouquet of seasonal blooms to take home.

Disclaimer:

Our retreats have a minimum capacity of  6 people and a maximum of 10. To ensure your retreat goes ahead on the date you desire, grab some mates for the ultimate bush experience.

We encourage solo travellers and couples, and we will strive to organise guests to achieve the minimum of 6 patrons for the weekend to go ahead. If the retreat does not reach the maximum guests required, it is at Wollemi Ridge Retreats discretion if the weekend will go ahead as scheduled. If the weekend is postpone to a later date,  guests will be accommodated to return and offered future, additional dates. We do not provide refunds.

Friday

  • Welcome drink of non alcoholic apple & ginger cider from Hilly Billy Cider. Tea, coffee and biscuits.

  • BBQ feast including halloumi, pepper and portobello mushroom burgers, grilled seasonal vegetables, garlic butter new potatoes, organic chicken and freshly baked bread.

  • BBQ sweet treats.

Saturday

  • Continental breakfast including locally sourced bread and native spreads as well as the classic condiments. Overnight oats, coconut yogurt, fresh fruits, bilpin apple juice, coconut cold brew and batch brew coffee, a selection of teas and hot chocolate.

  • Morning tea of biscuits and refreshments.

  • Freshly picked salad, frittata and locally sourced bread with sparking elderflower drinks.

  • Afternoon tea of hummus, goat cheese, crackers, and veggie platter with refreshments.

  • Pumpkin tagine, couscous, feta green beans and locally sourced bread with refreshments.

  • Gluten free brownies with cream

Sunday

  • Continental breakfast including locally sourced bread and native spreading as well as the classic spreads. Overnight oats, fresh fruits, bilpin apple juice, coconut cold brew and batch brew coffee, a selection of teas and hot chocolate.

  • Morning tea of biscuits and refreshments.

For all bush retreats, we require a wavier to be signed upon arrival as part of our induction the to land. Each participant must also sign this form at the start of the retreat to participate in the weekend activities - this will be provided by the hosts so please make sure you have read and agree to the Liability Waiver and are prepared to take responsibility for your own self. Refunds will not be offered if you decline to sign on the day. If you are buying the tickets for friends, it is important that you notify them of the Liability Waiver and booking conditions.
